1964 FFE All-Rookie Team

Along with naming a Fantasy Football Encyclopedia Rookie of the Year winner for each season starting in 1963, I also wanted to recognize the other outstanding rookies from each individual season. Each All-Rookie Team will have one quarterback, two running backs, three wide receivers and one tight end. Here is the 1964 Fantasy Football Encyclopedia All-Rookie Team

Quarterback

Gary Wood, New York Giants (101.88 fantasy points)

Wood played in 12 games (started 3 games) and had 952 passing yards with 6 passing touchdowns and 3 interceptions. He also had 158 rushing yards and 3 rushing touchdowns.

Running Back

Charley Taylor, Washington Redskins (270.06 fantasy points)

Taylor played in 14 games (started 14 games) and had 755 rushing yards and 5 rushing touchdowns. He also had 53 receptions for 814 receiving yards and 5 receiving touchdowns. Additionally, he had 54 passing yards and 1 interception. Taylor was the 1964 Fantasy Encyclopedia Rookie of the Year.

Sid Blanks, Houston Oilers (229.62 fantasy points)

Blanks played in 14 games (started 14 games) and had 756 rushing yards and 6 rushing touchdowns. He also had 56 receptions for 497 receiving yards and 1 receiving touchdown. Additionally, he had 8 passing yards and 1 passing touchdown.

Wide Receiver

Paul Warfield, Cleveland Browns (198.00 fantasy points)

Flatley played 14 games (started 14 games) and had 52 receptions for 920 receiving yards 9 receiving touchdowns. 

Bucky Pope, Los Angeles Rams (164.70 fantasy points)

Pope played 14 games (started 11 games) and had 25 receptions for 786 receiving yards and 10 receiving touchdowns (NFL league leader). He also had 11 rushing yards.

Dave Parks, San Francisco 49ers (154.30 fantasy points)

Parks played 14 games (started 14 games) and had 36 receptions for 703 receiving yards and 8 receiving touchdowns.     

Tight End

Hal Bedsole, Minnesota Vikings (77.50 fantasy points)

Bedsole played 14 games (started 11 games) and had 18 receptions for 295 receiving yards and 5 receiving touchdowns.
