Along with naming a Fantasy Football Encyclopedia Rookie of the Year winner for each season starting in 1963, I also wanted to recognize the other outstanding rookies from each individual season. Each All-Rookie Team will have one quarterback, two running backs, three wide receivers and one tight end. Here is the 1963 Fantasy Football Encyclopedia All-Rookie Team.
QuarterbackMickey Slaughter, Denver Broncos (128.26 fantasy points)
Slaughter played in 13 games (started 7 games) and had 1,689 passing yards with 12 passing touchdowns and 14 interceptions. He also had 127 rushing yards and 1 rushing touchdown.
Running Back
Billy Joe, Denver Broncos (118.60 fantasy points)
Joe played in 14 games (started 13 games) and had 646 rushing yards and 4 rushing touchdowns. He also had 15 receptions for 90 receiving yards and 1 receiving touchdown.
Don Lisbon, San Francisco 49ers (106.60 fantasy points)
Lisbon played in 14 games (started 8 games) and had 399 rushing yards. He also had 21 receptions for 259 receiving yards and 2 receiving touchdowns.
Wide Receiver
Paul Flatley, Minnesota Vikings (161.70 fantasy points)
Flatley played 14 games (started 14 games) and had 51 receptions for 867 receiving yards 4 receiving touchdowns. Flatley was the 1963 Fantasy Football Encyclopedia Rookie of the Year.
Art Graham, Boston Patriots (106.00 fantasy points)
