1967 FFE All-Pro Team

Along with naming a Fantasy Football Encyclopedia Player of the Year and Most Valuable Player winner for each season starting in 1963, I also wanted to recognize the other outstanding players from each individual season. Each All-Pro Team (1st and 2nd Team) will have one quarterback, two running backs, three wide receivers and one tight end. Here is the 1967 Fantasy Football Encyclopedia All-Pro Team. Fantasy points are shown in ( ). 

First Team All-Pro

Quarterback

Sonny Jurgensen, Washing Redskins (320.48)

Jurgensen played in 14 games (started 14 games) and had 3,747 passing yards (NFL league leader) and 31 passing touchdowns (NFL league leader) with 16 interceptions. He also had 46 rushing yards and 2 rushing touchdowns. Jurgensen was the 1967 Fantasy Football Encyclopedia Player of the Year.

Running Back

Mike Garrett, Kansas City Chiefs (247.48)

Garrett played in 14 games (started 14 games) and had 1,087 rushing yards and 9 rushing touchdowns. He also had 46 receptions for 261 receiving yards and 1 receiving touchdown. Additionally, he had 17 passing yards and 1 passing touchdown.

Leroy Kelly, Cleveland Browns (246.70)

Kelly played in 14 games (started 14 games) and had 1,205 rushing yards (NFL league leader) and 11 rushing touchdowns (NFL league leader). He also had 20 receptions for 282 receiving yards and 2 receiving touchdowns.

Wide Receiver

Don Maynard, New York Jets (278.20)

Maynard played in 14 games (started 14 games) and had 71 receptions for 1,434 receiving yards (AFL league leader) and 10 receiving touchdowns. He also had 18 rushing yards. Additionally, he had 1 2-point conversion. Maynard was the 1967 Fantasy Football Encyclopedia Most Valuable Player.

Homer Jones, New York Giants (259.90)

Jones played in 14 games (started 14 games) and had 49 receptions for 1,209 receiving yards and 13 receiving touchdowns (NFL league leader). He also had 60 rushing yards and 1 rushing touchdown.

Ben Hawkins, Philadelphia Eagles (245.50)

Hawkins played in 14 games (started 14 games) and had 59 receptions for 1,265 receiving yards (NFL league leader) and 10 receiving touchdowns.

Tight End

Jackie Smith, St. Louis Cardinals (237.10)

Smith played in 14 games (started 14 games) and had 56 receptions for 1,205 receiving yards and 9 receiving touchdowns. He also had 86 rushing yards. Additionally, he had 1 interception.

Second Team All-Pro

Quarterback

Daryle Lamonica, Oakland Raiders (304.12)

Lamonica played in 14 games (started 14 games) and had 3,228 passing yards and 30 passing touchdowns (AFL league leader) with 20 interceptions. He also had 110 rushing yards and 4 rushing touchdowns.

Running Back

Hoyle Granger, Houston Oilers (234.40)

Granger played in 14 games (started 14 games) and had 1,194 rushing yards and 6 rushing touchdowns. He also had 31 receptions for 300 receiving yards and 3 receiving touchdowns.

Dan Reeves, Dallas Cowboys (232.10)

Reeves played in 14 games (started 14 games) and had 603 rushing and 5 rushing touchdowns. He also had 39 receptions for 490 receiving yards and 6 receiving touchdowns. Additionally, he had 195 passing yards and 2 passing touchdowns with 1 interception. 

Wide Receiver

George Sauer, New York Jets (231.60)

Sauer played in 14 games (started 14 games) and had 75 receptions (NFL league leader) for 1,189 receiving yards and 6 receiving touchdowns. He also had -3 rushing yards. Additionally, he had 1 2-point conversion.

Otis Taylor, Kansas City Chiefs (229.70)

Taylor played in 14 games (started 13 games) and had 59 receptions for 958 receiving yards and 11 receiving touchdowns (AFL league leader). He also had 29 rushing yards and 1 rushing touchdown.

Charley Taylor, Washington Redskins (223.00)

Taylor played in 12 games (started 12 games) and had 70 receptions (NFL league leader) for 990 receiving yards and 9 receiving touchdowns.

Tight End

Jerry Smith, Washington Redskins (223.90)

Dale Mackey played in 14 games (started 14 games) and had 67 receptions for 849 receiving yards and 12 receiving touchdowns.
