In the 1967 season, Maynard scored 278.20 fantasy points with a Relative Fantasy Value (RFV) of 179.40 for the New York Jets. He played in 14 games with 71 receptions for 1,434 receiving yards (AFL league leader) and 10 receiving touchdowns.
