Drafted: Green Bay Packers in the 12th round (168th overall) of the 1963 National Football League (NFL) Draft; Buffalo Bills in the 24th round (188th overall) of teh 1963 American Football League (AFL) Draft.

In the 1969 season, Lamonica scored 295.68 fantasy points for the Oakland Raiders. He played He played in 14 games with 3,302 passing yards (AFL league leader) and 34 passing touchdowns (AFL league leader) with 25 interceptions (AFL league leader). He also had 36 rushing yards and 1 rushing touchdown. His best game of the season was a 47.72 fantasy point performance in Week 6 (see Game by Game Breakdown for details).
