Along with naming a Fantasy Football Encyclopedia Player of the Year and Most Valuable Player winner for each season starting in 1963, I also wanted to recognize the other outstanding players from each individual season. Each All-Pro Team (1st and 2nd Team) will have one quarterback, two running backs, three wide receivers and one tight end. Here is the 1969 Fantasy Football Encyclopedia All-Pro Team. Fantasy points are shown in ( ).
Quarterback
Daryle Lamonica, Oakland Raiders (295.68)
Lamonica played in 14 games (started 14 games) and had 3,302 passing yards (AFL league leader) and 34 passing touchdowns (AFL league leader) with 25 interceptions (AFL league leader). He also had 36 rushing yards and 1 rushing touchdown. Lamonica was the 1969 Fantasy Football Encyclopedia Player of the Year.
Running Back
Tom Matte, Baltimore Colts (265.04)
Matte played in 14 games (started 14 games) and had 909 rushing yards and 11 rushing touchdowns (NFL league leader). He also had 43 receptions for 513 receiving yards and 2 receiving touchdowns. Additionally, he had 46 passing yards.
Joe Morrison, New York Giants (213.40)
Morrison played in 14 games (started 9 games) and had 387 rushing yards and 4 rushing touchdowns. He also had 44 receptions for 647 receiving yards and 7 receiving touchdowns.
Wide Receiver
Warren Wells, Oakland Raiders (259.40)
Wells played in 14 games (started 14 games) and had 47 receptions for 1,260 receiving yards (AFL league leader) and 14 receiving touchdowns (AFL league leader). Wells was the 1969 Fantasy Football Encyclopedia Most Valuable Player.
Roy Jefferson, Pittsburgh Steelers (233.50)
Maynard played in 14 games (started 14 games) and had 67 receptions for 1,079 receiving yards and 9 receiving touchdowns. He also had 46 rushing yards.
Harold Jackson, Philadelphia Eagles (231.60)
Jackson played in 14 games (started 14 games) and had 65 receptions for 1,116 receiving yards (NFL league leader) and 9 receiving touchdowns. He also had 10 rushing yards.
Tight End
Jerry Smith, St. Louis Cardinals (177.00)
Smith played in 14 games (started 14 games) and had 54 receptions for 682 receiving yards and 9 receiving touchdowns. He also had 8 rushing yards.
