In the 1969 season, Wells scored 259.40 fantasy points with a Relative Fantasy Value (RFV) of 146.20 for the Oakland Raiders. He played in 14 games with 47 receptions for 1,260 receiving yards (AFL league leader) and 14 receiving touchdowns (AFL league leader).
