1969 FFE All-Pro Team

Along with naming a Fantasy Football Encyclopedia Player of the Year and Most Valuable Player winner for each season starting in 1963, I also wanted to recognize the other outstanding players from each individual season. Each All-Pro Team (1st and 2nd Team) will have one quarterback, two running backs, three wide receivers and one tight end. The 1969 Fantasy Football Encyclopedia Most Valuable Player is Oakland Raiders wide receiver Warren Wells.

Died: December 27, 2018 in Beaumont, Texas (Age 76)

College: Texas Southern University

Drafted: Detroit Lions in the 12th round (160th overall) of the 1964 National Football League (NFL) Draft

In the 1969 season, Wells scored 259.40 fantasy points with a Relative Fantasy Value (RFV) of 146.20 for the Oakland Raiders. He played in 14 games with 47 receptions for 1,260 receiving yards (AFL league leader) and 14 receiving touchdowns (AFL league leader). He also had 24 rushing yards. His best game of the season was a 33.70 fantasy point performance in Week 13 (see Game by Game Breakdown for details).

1969 FFE Player of the Year: Daryl Lamonica

Starting with the 1963 football season (AFL and NFL combined), I will recognize the top scoring player as that seasons Fantasy Football Encyclopedia Player of the Year. 

The 1969 Fantasy Football Encyclopedia Player of the Year is Oakland Raiders quarterback Daryle Lamonica.

Died: April 21, 2022 in Fresno, California (Age 80)

College: University of Notre Dame

Drafted: Green Bay Packers in the 12th round (168th overall) of the 1963 National Football League (NFL) Draft; Buffalo Bills in the 24th round (188th overall) of teh 1963 American Football League (AFL) Draft.

In the 1969 season, Lamonica scored 295.68 fantasy points for the Oakland Raiders. He played He played in 14 games with 3,302 passing yards (AFL league leader) and 34 passing touchdowns (AFL league leader) with 25 interceptions (AFL league leader). He also had 36 rushing yards and 1 rushing touchdown. His best game of the season was a 47.72 fantasy point performance in Week 6 (see Game by Game Breakdown for details).

1969 FFE Rookie of the Year: Calvin Hill

Starting with the 1963 football season (AFL and NFL combined), I will recognize the top scoring rookie as that seasons 

The 1969 Fantasy Football Encyclopedia Rookie of the Year is Dallas Cowboys running back Calvin Hill.

Drafted: Dallas Cowboys in the 1st round (24th overall) of the 1969 National Football League (NFL) Draft.

In the 1969 season, Hill scored 202.88 fantasy points for the Dallas Cowboys. He played in 13 games with 942 rushing yards and 8 rushing touchdowns. He also had 20 receptions for 232 receiving yards. Additionally, he had 137 passing yards and 2 passing touchdowns. His best game of the season was a 32.50 fantasy point performance in Week 9 (see Game by Game Breakdown for details).
