1964 FFE Most Valuable Player: Charlie Hennigan

Starting with the the 1963 football season (AFL and NFL combined), I will recognize the player with the highest Relative Fantasy Value (RFV) as that seasons Fantasy Football Encyclopedia Most Valuable Player. You can view an explanation of RFV by clicking HERE.

The second Fantasy Football Encyclopedia Most Valuable Player is Houston Oilers wide receiver Charlie Hennigan. He also won the 1964 FFE Player of the Year award and is the first player to win both awards in the same season.

In the 1964 season, Hennigan scored 303.60 fantasy points with a Relative Fantasy Value (RFV) of 206.60 for the Houston Oilers. He played in 14 games with 101 receptions (AFL league leader) for 1,546 receiving yards (AFL league leader) and 8 receiving touchdowns. His best game of the season was a 34.50 fantasy point performance in Week 7 (see Game by Game Breakdown for details).
